Robert Gene Goolsby

Robert Gene Goolsby, age 49, passed away on October, 17, 2021 in Aurora, Colorado, surrounded by his family. He was born in Freeport, TX on February 17, 1972. Robert is survived by his parents, Mickey & Brenda Goolsby of Brazoria, TX, his sister, Marcey Farley & her husband, Chris & their sons, Joshua & Colton. His sons, Brandon Swift (Jordan) & Bo "Tuff" Reno (Sierra) & daughter, Braylin Goolsby. His ex-wife & love of his life, Kathy Goolsby. His grand daughter, Haylee. Grandmother, Jean Goolsby & numerous aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. Robert is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gene Ted & Lou Cunningham and Janice Swinford & R.D. Goolsby. Growing up, Robert enjoyed little league baseball, trail rides, showing his animals at the county fair, fishing & dancing. He had an infectious personality & smile and never met a stranger. His family & friends are comforted in the knowledge that Robert knew the Lord & that he would be greeted in heaven by family & that we will all get to see him again one day. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 28th from 11AM-1PM, followed by the funeral services at 1PM at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton. Burial to follow at Brazoria Cemetery. Pastor Jamie Hill will be officiating & Pastor Ernie Hutchings will be assisting. Pallbearers will be Donald Andrus, Allen Hill, Peyton Hill, Aaron Eddlemon, Amanda Kaylor & Kevin Clark.
