Robert James Vinklarek

In Loving Memory of Robert James Vinklarek August 2, 1945 ~ February 1, 2017 Robert James Vinklarek was born in Shiner, Texas, on August 2, 1945. He went home to be with the Lord on February 1, 2017. He was a State Farm Agent for almost 40 years in Angleton, Texas. Robert also volunteered at the Ramsey Unit teaching a Bible study class for nearly 30 years. He loved his relationship with all the men who longed to change their lives. Many have left the confines of the prison and are serving the Lord today, due to the Lord using Robert as a faithful, committed instrument to spread His word. Robert was a member of St. Basil's Catholic Church in Angleton, Texas, where he taught Catholic Catechism for many years, and was president of the Parish Council numerous times. He and his wife are presently members of St. Joseph's on the Brazos in Brazoria, Texas, where he also served on the parish council. As an ambassador, he represented the Angleton Chamber of Commerce at many openings. He was also a Little League baseball coach, the President of Angleton Noon Lions Club, and served as President of Westside PTA in Angleton. Robert served as a bank director at the Angleton Bank of Commerce. He was a graduate of El Campo High School class of 1963. In 1967, he earned his Bachelor's of Business Administration at Sam Houston University. He was loved, respected and will be deeply missed by all. Robert leaves behind his wife, Beverly Bailey Vinklarek; children, Karen Renee Vinklarek Gresham, married to Mark Gresham, of Lake Jackson, Jeff Keith Vinklarek, married to Melanie Debner Vinklarek, of Kingwood; grandchildren, Rachel Bailey Gresham-Bean, married to Dallas Bean, of Galveston, Kyle Vinklarek, Kate Vinklarek, Kolton Vinklarek and Kora Vinklarek, all of Kingwood; mother, Adela Jurek Vinlarek, of El Campo; two sisters; one brother; three brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law, LaDell Vinklarek Janda and husband, Al Janda, of El Campo, Gerry Vinklarek Graham and husband, Eugene Graham, of El Campo; twin brother, Don Vinklarek and wife, Linda Vinklarek, of Houston; brother-in-law, I.J. Brown and sister-in-law, Annette Bailey Brown, of Georgetown; numerous nieces, and nephews; great-nieces and nephews. Visitation and rosary will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017. The funeral mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Angleton. Procession and burial will follow at Angleton Cemetery in Angleton. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph's on the Brazos in Brazoria would be greatly appreciated.
