Robert Lloyd Zeigler, born on July 7, 1945, in Baltimore, Maryland, passed away in Danbury, Texas on March 13, 2024. Known to friends and family as Bob, he was a proud veteran, having served in the Army. Bob had a strong work ethic and wore many hats throughout his life, but he enjoyed being on the road as a truck driver for many years.
In his spare time Bob enjoyed fishing, watching football, painting, and driving a tractor on his son-in-law’s farm.
A man of much love, Bob leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by his wife, Rita Zeigler whom he married on July, 31, 1969. His sons Robert Zeigler, Ronnie Zeigler (Aspen), Rick Zeigler (Brenda), and daughter Rebecca Peltier (Patrick). His grandchildren; Ryan Zeigler, Seth Zeigler, Isabella Zeigler, Josh Zeigler, Sofia Zeigler, Dillon Peltier, Katelynn Roberts, Dalton Peltier, Elizabeth Zeigler, Ryleigh Zeigler and Tailynn Zeigler. Robert also leaves behind his great-grandchildren, Layla Roberts, Lex Roberts and Kami Peltier. As well as a host of other friends.
He was reunited with his parents; Robert and Martha Zeigler and his siblings; Kline Zeigler, Billy Zeigler and Arda May Lamb, who all preceded him in death.
A memorial service to celebrate Bob’s life will be at Heart City Church with Pastor Ryan Olivier officiating in Angleton, Texas. The service will begin at 11a.m. on Tuesday, March 19th. Bob will forever be remembered for his quiet strength, unwavering dedication, and love for his family and country. May he rest in peace.
