Robyn Sue Cochran

September 12, 1953 — January 30, 2021

Anyone who knew Robyn Sue Cochran would describe her as full of joy and kindness. Every stranger was a friend she hadn't met yet. She loved her family and friends fiercely. On January 30, 2021, this amazing woman won her battle with cancer in her home, surrounded by her family, just as she wanted. She is now celebrating in heaven with her grandson Cameron, parents, grandparents, and friends. Robyn was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Air Force TSgt G.B. Coleman and his wife Margaret. Military life took the family to Spain and eventually Dyess AFB. Robyn graduated from Aldine High School where she was a cheerleader and enjoyed performing in plays with the Drama Club. Robyn began her career in banking at First National Bank in Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Her work ethic, attention to detail, and care for her customers led to a distinguished professional career. She held executive and senior-level positions within the financial services industry for almost 40 years. A Certified Financial Manager and a Certified Special Needs Advisor, she attended the C. E. Bauer College of Business - Executive Development Program at the University of Houston and Merrill Lynch University - Princeton; she achieved her Intermediate School of Banking Diploma from Southern Methodist University, received an Essentials of Bank Marketing Certificate from the University of Houston and attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. She's been named to Madison Who's Who, the International Who's Who of Professionals, and Manchester Who's Who of Executives and Professionals. Robyn cared deeply for her community and was honored as Brazosport Area Chamber of Commerce's Citizen of the Year, and Angleton Business and Professional Women's Woman of the Year, and Young Career Woman. The depth of her civic involvement spans from her election to the Angleton City Council, being a member of the Angleton and Brazosport Chambers of Commerce, for which she was the latter's elected Chairman of the Board in 2012. She was also a member of the Dow Chemical Community Advisory Board and The Alliance for Economic Development. Her other activities include being appointed to the advisory board for the Hospice Care Team; serving as a Lifetime Member of the Brazoria County Fair Association and as Past Chair of the Brazosport Area Christian Women's Connection. By far, she took the most joy in her family. She married the love of her life, Danny Cochran on Valentine's Day 1981. Together they raised 3 children. Her favorite times were spent celebrating with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. She was often found at soccer, football, or basketball games loudly cheering on her grandbabies. Robyn was preceded in death by her father G. B. Coleman, Sr.; mother Margaret Coleman; brother Richard Coleman; and grandson Cameron Troy Alexander. She is survived by: her husband Danny Cochran; sons - Travis Price (Mindy), Daniel Cochran, Jr. (Kristin); daughter - Shannon Alexander (Chris); grandchildren - Kaiman Branch and Christian Alexander, Tristan and Gavin Price, Kason, Tayah, Kolton and Daniel Cochran III; brother - G.B.
