Rodney Louis Crisp, 70 of Angleton, Texas passed away with his family by his side. Born on March 3, 1953, in Texas City, Texas. Rodney lived a life filled with love and devotion to his family and community. He filled his days with rounds of golf, cheering on the Angleton Wildcat football team, and passionately supporting the Houston Astros. Rodney cherished moments spent with his high school sweetheart and wife of 51 years, Mae Delle (Campbell) Crisp, and created lasting memories with his beloved grandchildren who loving knew him as “PaPa.”


Rodney served his community as a dedicated Police Officer for 29 years serving with the Angleton Police Department, displaying courage and valor on the streets of Angleton. His commitment to upholding the law and protecting the citizens of his city will be forever remembered. we celebrate the life of a husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend.


Memorial service and visitation for Rodney Crisp will be on March 3, 2024, at the Second Baptist Church in Angleton, a place where he found solace. There, we will gather to share stories, and pay our respects to a man who touched so many lives.


Rodney joins his parents, Ira Lee and Alice Irene Crisp who welcomed him in heaven.

Survivors include his wife, Mae Delle (Campbell) Crisp, sons Rodney Crisp (wife, Laura) and Travis Crisp (wife, Jennifer). His brother, Gary Crisp (wife, Robin), his sisters: Valerie Bates and Beverly Boethel, his grandchildren: Ethan Crisp (wife, Jessica), Cameron Crisp, Owen Crisp, Ryan Crisp, and great-grandson, Oslo Crisp.

Rodney leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will echo through the hearts of those who knew him. Forever loved, forever cherished, Rodney Louis Crisp will remain eternally in our thoughts and memories.


The family request in lieu of flowers, donations made be made to the Second Baptist Church building fund.
