Roger Lee Hanson

Roger Lee Hanson, 68 of Angleton, Texas passed away on January 12, 2014. He was born October 2, 1946 in Robinson, Illinois to Nolan E. & Margie J. Hanson. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Friday, January 16, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in Palms Funeral Home Chapel. Roger is survived by wife of 41 years Vickie Lee Ware Hanson, children Michael Hanson, Kelley Hanson, Stacey Hanson, Cheryl & Steve Crocker, grandchildren Dylan Hanson, Maddyson, Micah, Noah Dickenson, Ryan Crocker, brother Kirk & wife Georgia Hanson, great-grandchild Asher Crocker, niece & nephew Mark Hanson & wife Melissa, Laura Clark & husband Chuck, cousins Richard Hanson & wife Pat, Michael Hanson & Jeff Hanson. He is preceded in death by his parents as well as many aunts & uncles. Roger enlisted in the Marine Corps in June of 1966, he did a tour of duty in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in November of 1967, he was also active in the Marine Corp League, he moved to Angleton in 1974 and got involved in Sonic until 2012. He grew up in Sweeny, Texas and graduated from Sweeny High School in 1966.
