Rosa Ybarra Villarreal

March 6, 1946 — May 12, 2018

Rosa Ybarra Villarreal, 72, peacefully went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Cypress Woods Care Center in Angleton. She was born March 6, 1946 and was a lifelong resident of Angleton. Rosa had the heart and soul of a child and she loved and forgave unconditionally. She touched the lives of so many, loved praying Rosaries for her family every day, and had a beautiful bond with her brothers and sisters. Rosa didn't have children, but her nieces and nephews were like her children. They'd have plenty of sweet stories to share of the many sleepovers, card games, and late night laughs. Rosa loved playing games! She usually won playing Trouble, and she loved to play bingo. Rosa is survived by her siblings, Clara Zavala (Max), Manuel Villarreal (Vicky), Angie Villarreal, Mary Ann Ng (Wegin), Nolberto Villarreal (Mary), Roberto Y. Villarreal (Nellie), Johnny Villarreal, Carlos Villarreal (Wanda), Soila Gutierrez (Mauro), Jesse Villarreal (Alejandra), Bietrice Villanueva (Andrs), Adelle Villarreal, 52 nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Nolberto and Marcelina Villarreal, brothers, Joe Villarreal and Andrew Villarreal, and nephews, Roberto Y. Villarreal Jr. and Jerrod Gutierrez. All services will be held in Angleton. A wake will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, at Palms Funeral home, followed by the Rosary at 7 p.m., 2300 E. Hwy 35. A Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1713 N. Tinsley, with Reverend Victor Perez presiding; followed by a Christian burial at the Angleton Cemetery on 328 Cemetery Rd. Pallbearers are nephews, Adrian Zavala, Joe Albert Villarreal, Marcus Villarreal, George Velez, Mauro Gutierrez, Nolberto (Woody) Villarreal III, Michael Lyons, and Joseph Villarreal. On behalf of Rosa's family we'd like to thank Cypress Woods Care Center for her end-of-life care, Palms Funeral Home, and all who've offered prayers. Rosa will be truly missed and always loved.
