Rose Ellen McKnight, 80, of Richwood, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her family & friends on June 16, 2016 in Brazoria, Texas. She was born to R.E. "Buster" & Faye Lorene Sumerall Hood on July 14, 1935 in Buffalo, Texas. Funeral Services are set on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas with Burial to be in Buffalo City Cemetery on Tuesday, June 21 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. before service also at Palms. Rose was an adventurous young lady, after graduating she moved to Houston and began life on her own working for Prudential. She retired from Inter-Medics after 25 years and also loved working in the Wal-Mart fish dept. She was the world's best biscuit maker, the greatest MeeMaw, and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband A.J. McKnight, sons Andy & Bret McKnight, grandsons Derek & Jeremy, parents, 2 sisters. Rose is survived by her daughters Lynette (Alan) Rea, Lisa (Tommy) Burch, sister Melba Lee Ritcher, grandchildren; Alan Rea II (Stephania), Rose Riggs, Kristy Garza (Tyson), Diane Galbreath (Daniel), Bret McKnight (Jimmie), Christopher McKnight (Megan), Cory McKnight (Mandi), Amanda Dean (Nick), Angela Rickett (Ron), Andy Orlando & Randi Orlando, 23 Great Grandchildren as well as numerous family & friends.
