Roy Cook

Roy Cook, 90, of Angleton, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2021, surrounded by his family, and listening to his favorite country music. He was born in Weldon, Texas, on February 27, 1931. Roy attended Angleton schools, where he graduated and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Roy is reunited with his wife, Ruby Middleton Cook; along with brothers, Finis, Lee, and Dink; sisters, Mildred, Madeline, and Frances; and son in law, Ronny Joe Nelson. He is survived by his children, Ronnie and Marla Cook, Robin Marcia Nelson, and Bill and Debbie Savage; grandchildren, Brandon and Heather Savage, Cody and Natasidy Savage, Cole and Sarah Cook, Derek and Coby Nelson, and Clay Cook; great grandchildren, Taylor, Braden, Haylie, Gracie, and baby Jo; and sister, Laverne Wharton. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and special friend, Danny Leist. A visitation and celebration, with loved ones and friends, will take place at First United Methodist Church Angleton, on Saturday, August 7, 2021. The visitation will begin at 10:00 am and continue until the Celebration of Life, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Angleton Cemetery.
