Roy Gomez Sr. Roy Gomez, 72, of Angleton, Texas passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2014 to be with his heavenly father and loving wife Gloria Sosa Gomez. He was born March 23, 1941 in Yoakum, Texas to Juan Gomez and Margarita Campos Jasso. Roy had been a truck driver for many years. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, family gatherings and sitting outside drinking and listening to music. He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria Sosa Gomez, father Juan Gomez, mother Margarita Campos Jasso, stepfather Margarito Jasso and brother Ernest Gomez. Survivors include his children Mary Ann Hernandez, husband Dennie of Angleton; Roy Gomez Jr., wife Nina of Angleton; Norma Ramirez, husband Everardo of Angleton; Johnny Gomez Sr., wife Jennifer of Angleton; Frances Cano, husband Laurence of Angleton; David Gomez of Angleton. Honorary children Joseph Gomez, wife Brandi of Angleton and Amanda Gomez, husband Courtney of Angleton. Grandchildren include Ashley Casas, husband Abel; Chris Gomez, Jessica Gomez, Seth Gomez, Savannah Gomez, Bianca Ramirez, husband Josh; Erica Ramirez, Briana Ramirez, Eric Ramirez, Johnny Gomez Jr., Joshua Gomez, Alyssa Gomez, Julian Gomez, Ernest DeLaGarza, Lauren Cano, Chris Cano, Christen Cano, Cheylar Gomez, and 16 wonderful great grandkids as well as His loving sister Belinda Marie Howell of Angleton. Visitations will be held at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton from 6:00 until 7:00p.m., Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Rosary will begin at 7:00p.m. Funeral services will be February 13, 2014 at 10:00a.m. at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
