Ruby Mary Brown

April 22, 1923 — July 21, 2015

Ruby Mary Brown, 92, of Angleton, Texas danced into Heaven in the arms of her Jesus on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 in Angleton. She was born on April 22, 1923 to George Joseph & Anna Isabell (Treviner) Leonard, Sr in Dallas, Texas. A woman of deep faith, Ruby loved God and loved others. She found tremendous joy in worshiping with her church family and was a faithful member in the choir. She was a charitable giver of her time and talents in her service to the Lord. A woman of strong character, Ruby took professional pride and was well known for her many years as a Certified Aide as she lovingly cared for many elderly patients and family members. A woman of conviction, Ruby was a devoted military wife and mother. A fun-seeking social butterfly who saw the best in everyone, Ruby was never called flighty (although sometimes flirty) and enjoyed doing life with anyone and everyone. Ruby is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sue Sarver, her grandson, Jimmy McClanahan (Mickie), and her ‘special daughter' Marsha Byrd (James) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Truman Alan Brown, her son, Herbert Hale "Tiny" Sarver Jr, her brother, George J. Leonard, Jr, and her nephew, George R. Leonard. Visitation will be Thursday, July 23, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home, Angleton. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, July 24 at 10:00 a.m. in Second Baptist Church, Angleton.
