Ruby Theola Nicely

Ruby Theola Thurman Nicely, age 92, slipped peacefully away on February 11, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Gene Nicely, and parents, Edgar and Nellie Thurman and brother, Glen. She is survived by her son Paul, his wife, Vickie, daughters, Barbara Stark, and Sharon Freudensprung, three grandchildren, Donald, Jasen, and Jana, and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings Wilma Vose of Macon, Missouri, Beryl Thurman of Rockford, Illinois, and Ruth Towery of Fort Madison, Iowa. Theola was born in Elmer, Missouri, on May 25, 1920, and lived there (as well as several more states) and ended her long life in Conroe, Texas. Although she experienced many talented moments, (a few being teacher in a one-room country school, sales person at Younglandia's, and Sunday School teacher and pianist) her greatest was as a pastor's wife where she was known as a great lover and helper of people, her family, her husband, and her Lord.
