Russell Wayne Sluder

Russell Wayne Sluder, 59, of Angleton passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2014 in Angleton. Visitation will be held from 11-1 on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Palms Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Angleton Cemetery. Russell was born June 5, 1954 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Don & Eva Marie (Latusa) Sluder, and had lived in Angleton since 1974. He was a member of The Brazosport Vineyard Church of Lake Jackson and had worked for Sentry Polymers in Freeport for 30 years. His father preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Donna Sluder of Angleton, his mother; Eva Sluder of Abita Springs, La, son, Aaron W. Sluder of Pearland. Daughters, Kimberley J. Hunt, Cory L. Sluder both of Lake Jackson and Christina L. Mitchamore of Clute. Sisters, Donna Richardson of Abita Springs, La & Toni Kennington of Tomball and brother Don Sluder of Lake Jackson. In world full of selfish ambition, greed, and indulgence, Donna Sluder has demonstrated the most purest of all things which can only come from God - Unconditional Love. The bible describes it like this: Love is patient and kind; loves does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all thing, believes all things, hope all things, endures all things". Thank you Mom for reminding us all how much God truly love us. You have been a living testimony to the vows that you promised to Dad over 40 years ago "I promised to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health.
