Our Dear Mother Sandra Owens passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 6, 2024, at 82 years. She was born on September 27, 1942 in Pascagoula, Mississippi to Thomas and Ruth Bright.
Our Mother taught us the respect for others, the strength in forgiveness, our Faith in God, and the Love of Family. Her love of her flowerbeds will ensure for generations to come every time we see lilies blooming, we will see beauty even in our time of struggles.
She was a wonderful Mother who was always there when we needed her the most, lifting us up in prayers of protection, faith and abundant love. She touched the lives of all who knew her and were blessed with being along with Mom on her incredible journey. She leaves behind a legacy of her Catholic Faith and Love for God.
Mom loved being outside in her flowerbeds and she absolutely loved and excelled at crocheting, making blankets for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed making wreaths as she did with her Mom, pouring her heart into each and every project. She treasured spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Other favorite pastimes were watching her football and her Sasquatch.
As well as being our Mom, she worked through the years as a Security Guard for Intermedics and in Child Nutrition at Angleton ISD.
Sandra (Sandy) is preceded in death by her Mother Ruth Hagler, Father Thomas Bright, Sister Margaret Astor, Son William “Todd” Willis, Grandson Steven Conrad and Niece Susan Brown.
Sandy is survived by her children, Chandra Willis, Thomas Willis, Theresa Zwahr and her Sister Christyna Bright. However many lovingly considered Mom as their Mom and Grandma Sandy through the years.
Sandy also has Grandchildren that brought her so much wonderful joy, laughter and memories and mean everything to her……….Kayla Sinopoli, Skylar Sinopoli, William and wife Brandie Willis, Todd and Ashley Willis, Craig and wife Natalie Conrad, Charles and wife Sara Rab, Nicole Conrad, Darbi and husband John Crain, Gary and wife Heather Conrad, Earl and wife Tiffany Willis, Robert Willis, Vanessa Willis, Meagan Willis. Plus Mom was so proud to say she has 23 great grandchildren who especially filled her heart up with such joy, laughter and forever love!
