Santana Ramos Jr.

Santana Ramos, Jr. 65, of Angleton passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012. Santana was born December 1, 1946 in Star County, Texas to Santana and Julia Ramos. He owned Santana's Janitorial Service in Brazoria County. Santana enjoyed cooking and being with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Survivors include his former wife, Elva Mendez; sons, Rene Ramos of Angleton, Eligio Ramos of Richwood, Santana Perez of Freeport and Ruben Garcia of Angleton; daughters, Rosemary Escalante of Clute, Julie Covarrubias of Houston and Angelica Jimenez of Freeport; siblings, Leo Poldo Ramos, Leonel Ramos, Leanor Salazar and Nilla Solis; 21 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Palms Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Christian wake to begin at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Angleton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rene Escalante, A.J. Ramos, Rene Ramos, Joe Hermosa, Cesar Esquivel, Sr. and Marco Koole.
