Scott Allen Parr

Scott Allen Parr, 56, of Freeport, TX passed away on May 11, 2024, in Galveston, TX.

Scott was born on April 19,1968 in Northglenn, Colorado to Morris and Sharon (Tunstead) Killough. His mother, Sharon, later re-married to Johnny Parr, and he adopted Scott when he was 6 years old.

Scott loved his family, his 3 cats and his dog, and he was passionate about sports, fishing, cooking, and venturing out to new restaurants in his later years. Scott was a skilled worker at a young age, working for Sears for 33 years and becoming one their best Service Technicians to have worked for them. His forte was training and mentoring young talent and helped to mold many careers. Scott’s childhood also included a strong dedication to Judo which shaped a solid work ethic and created discipline in his life.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Parr, his oldest daughter, Elise Parr, and biological father, Morris Killough.

Those left to treasure his memory are his wife Courtenay Parr, son Aiden Parr, younger daughter Jessica Parr, his granddaughter Ella McHugh, his father Johnny Parr, his sister Brooke (Parr) Cournyea, his brother Troy Parr, and his brother John Killough.

Scott was a good man, father, husband, brother, son, and friend to many, and he will be sorely missed. Scott is free as a bird now and will dance with reckless abandon on the streets of heaven.
