Sharon Kay 'Kay' Harrison

Sharon Kay Harrison passed away Monday, February 6, 2017 in Danbury. Funeral services are scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2017 at Palms Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 3 until service time on Friday. Graveside services and burial will be Sunday at 5:00 p.m. in Locker Cemetery in Locker, Texas. Kay was born January 15, 1957 to Noel & Emagene Hawkins Cumming in Brownwood, Texas She graduated with the class of '75 from Brownwood High School and participated in Drill Team and rodeos while in high school. Kay was a beautiful soul who was always kind and gracious. She made a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her love showed in every corner of K's Place Personal Care Home in Danbury . Kay founded K's Place when she wanted a loving atmosphere for her aging mother. Kay has been a true blessing to every resident and their families that have been cared for. She was preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by her two sons; Westin Scott Harrison, Thomas Brent Harrison and her brother Aaron Keith Cummings and her love for the past 14 years Howard Harper and her son's father Skip Harrison. Howard and Kay enjoyed riding their motorcycles and traveling all around the country and were avid members of their local BMW Motorcycle Club. She was an active member of the Danbury Rotary Club and a long time member of the Rotary Club Scholarship Committee. Kay spent the last months of her life with Howard at their home located on the water of Galveston bay watching the sailboats race and enjoying the peace and serenity of the water with the man who loved her.
