Sharron O-Dell Starr Sharron Starr, 72, of Danbury passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015 in a Houston hospital. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Danbury Baptist Church with Pastor David Cato & Pastor Joe David Saffle officiating. Burial will follow in the Danbury Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6-8 at Danbury Baptist Church. Sharron was born July 11, 1942 in Angleton, Texas to William & Thelma (Rollo) McIntyre and worked for the US Postal Service as a Rural Route Carrier for many years, where she attended many State and National Conventions and Elections. Sharron was active as a Gulf Coast officer and Local Steward. Sharron and Ray Dean opened Bullseye Archery in Danbury in the early 70's and hunted and guided on many hunts. She reviewed archery products and had many hunting experiences published in Bow Hunter Magazine. Sharron helped establish the Lone Star Bow Hunters Association and was instrumental in creating legislature and bow hunting laws. She has moved on to hunt in heaven. She was preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandson Stephano Gaetano Achille, sister Elizabeth Gerry Benge and many other family members. Survivors include her husband of 59 years Ray Dean Starr of Danbury, sons, Michael Starr & wife Kimberly of Lake Jackson, Stephen Starr & his wife Anne of Danbury. Daughter, Lynette Starr & Klay Cadenhead of Danbury. Brothers; Billy McIntyre & wife Sylvia of Lake Jackson, Don McIntyre & wife Barbara of Angleton, Robert Paul McIntyre of Angleton & Walton Roland, Jr of Arkansas. Sisters; Shirley Dozier & Delora Dawson both of Angleton & Sharon Baker of Rockwall. Grandchildren; Nancy & Nick Achille, Andrew & Ashtin Starr, Brazos Starr, Tyler Wilson, Madison Starr, Kole & Kayla Cadenhead & Peyton Starr. Great-Grandchildren; Giuseppe, Giuliano, Gianna & Baby Achille and Ryleigh, Aubree & Baby Starr. Pallbearers will be Mike Starr, Steve Starr, Klay Cadenhead, Brazos Starr, Andrew Starr, Peyton Starr, Kole Cadenhead & Nick Achille. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Hubert Collins, Tyler Wilson, Walt Bennett, Wesley Howard, Jimmy West, Willie B. " Bart" Benge, Allen Brown, Jason Moore, Justin Dozier, Don Starr, Donnie & Chris Starr. In lieu of usual remembrance contributions toward funeral expenses will be received by Danbury Baptist Church. Please designate your monetary gifts as Starr Family Love Offering.
