Sheila Ray

Sheila Ray, 64 of Angleton was born November 20, 1947 and passed away Friday, July 13, 2012. Sheila was born and raised in Hot Springs, Arkansas and moved to Angleton after marrying her husband, Larry in 1969. She was a graduate of Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, AR. Sheila was a member of First Baptist Church in Angleton and retired from Angleton Independent School District after years of teaching. Sheila was preceded in death by her husband, Larry and her father, George Harter, Jr. She is survived by her mother, Racheline Harter of Hot Springs, AR; daughters, Laura Ray of Fulshear, TX and Lesley Ray Harvey and husband, Daina of Angleton; grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Matthew and Finch; brother, Bobby Harter; sisters, Charlotte Hitchens and Connie Wehrman; in-laws, Fred and Patsy Martin; nieces and nephews, Dan Martin, Jennifer Gellasch, Anthony Harter and Kim McBrayer and numerous great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, July 16, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 17th at First Baptist Church in Angleton at 12:00 p.m. with Dr. Rodney Bowman to officiate. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Fred Martin, Dan Martin, Daina Harvey, Richard Gellasch, Taite Gellasch and Kipp Gellasch. Bobby Harter will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
