Shirley La Dell Carroll

Shirley La Dell Carroll, 77 passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012 in Houston, Texas. She was born September 23, 1934 in Davilla, Texas to John & Carmen Heath. Shirley was a member of Second Baptist Church in Angleton for over 50 years and enjoyed volunteering her time to the church and other organizations. She was a very giving person and loved her family. Shirley would always bake pies and cakes to give to people she knew. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Quincy Carroll; parents; and brother, John Thomas. She is survived by her sons, Forest Carroll of Fort Smith, AR, Alan Carroll of Alvin and David Carroll of Angleton; siblings, Billy Heath, Felicia Davis and Mavis Salladay; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at palms Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until services begin. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery.
