Shirley Mae Jackson, 86, of Lake Jackson went to be with our Lord on April 1st. She was born in Hannibal, Missouri on July 18, 1928 to Edwin & Helen Jones. Funeral Services are set for 2:00 p.m. on April 7th at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, TX, with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX. Mrs. Jackson volunteered at the Salvation Army Thrift Store in Quincy, Illinois for 10 years, she helped with a children's reading program in Houston, TX, was a member of the Red Hat Society and loved going to the Gathering Place for Bingo & lunch. She was a longtime member of Fellowship of Praise in Stafford, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband Billy B. Jackson, son William Allen Jackson, grandson Dylan Murphy, parents & brother Wallace Jones. Shirley is survived by her children; Donita Murphy and husband Patrick Murphy, Juanita Cropper, Judy Lynch and husband Larry Lynch, Christopher Jackson and wife Unita Jackson, brothers; Bob Jones & Gary Jones sister-in-law Carol Jones, sister-in-law Virgie Pohlman and husband Jerry Pohlman, 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren & 3 great great-grandchildren. In Lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to "The Gathering Place" and "Helping Hands Hospice" Provide comfort for the family by planting a tree in memory of Shirley Mae Jackson, please visit our Heartfelt Sympathies Store.
