Shirley Yvonne Parten

Shirley Yvonne McCleney Parten went to be with her Lord and Savior April 18, 2015 at her home in Angleton, Texas. She was born in Iola, Texas on December 25, 1937. Shirley was 77 years old at the time of her passing. She moved to Angleton with her mom and dad on December 7, 1941. Shirley was a graduate of Angleton High School. She pursued a career with Dow Chemical and retired from Dow after 28 years of service. She married her loving husband, Albert, of 57 years on July 5, 1957. Shirley was a wonderful mother of 2 sons. She was a beautiful, giving, loving person with a smile that would light up a room. Shirley was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Angleton, TX for 57 years. She is preceded in death by her brother Clark Wayne McCleney, her mom and dad Tom and Christine McCleney and her son Tony Randall Parten. She is survived by her husband Albert Parten, son Tom and wife Micky, brother Dickie and wife Sandra McCleney, sister Kathy and husband Roland Howard, Grandchildren Tori and husband Tad DeMartini, Travis and wife Janet Parten, Tami and husband Miguel Flores, Kaysie and husband Jady Nelson, Katelyn Parten, Klark Parten, great grandchildren Julian and Hudson DeMartini, Kaleb and Kason Parten, Charlie Mae Spaulding, Miguel Flores III, Gabriela Flores, Avery Camacho, Tyler Rathkamp, Celeste Loughman, and Bryson Heckler. Visitation will be held at Palms Funeral Home in Angelton, Wednesday April 22, 2015 from 6 to 8pm. Funeral services will be held at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Thursday April 23, 2015 at 11am. Shirley will be laid to rest in Angleton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name to Calvary Baptist Church.
