STEVE AUSTIN SIMS 10/30/27 to 6/19/16 Our beloved husband, father & grandfather is rejoicing in Heaven! He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lois Sims; his daughters, Kathi Samuel and husband Dan; Sandi Ware and husband Joe; grandsons, Jeramey Cantu, Brad Foulds and wife Laura, Marcus Foulds and wife Halley and 2 great grandsons, Dane and Nolan Foulds. He served in the U.S. Navy for 3 years. He retired from Dow Chemical after 40 years, then volunteered at the First Baptist Church in Angleton, working as the camera man in the Christian Ministry so all could hear God's word. He was also a "sunshine" greeter at the church. He took joy in having a garden every spring. He loved the Lord and his genuine spirit will be missed. Viewing will be held at Palms Funeral Home on Saturday, June 25th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Service celebrating his life, will be held that afternoon, at the First Baptist Church in Angleton at 1:30 p.m. followed by burial at Angleton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeramey Cantu, Brad Foulds, Marcus Foulds, Chris Samuel, Scott Samuel and Dan Samuel.
