Syble Marie Hewitt, 82 of Angleton, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020. She was born December 2, 1937 in Rockdale Texas to John Walter and Nellie Ann Lavinia Denham Westbrook, the youngest of 7 children. Singing for the Lord was her greatest passion. She enjoyed singing in the Westbrook Trio with her sisters Joyce & Ruth, and later with her husband Kenneth Hewitt. She loved the Lord and studied her Bible faithfully. Syble was known as "Big Momma" to her kid's friends and their neighborhood growing up. She was a true Counselor and Confidant to many-always over a glass of her famous "Sweet Tea". Syble was preceded in death by her parents, her 6 siblings; Ruth Stansbury, George (G.W.) Westbrook, Thomas Alvin Westbrook, Andrew (Red) Westbrook, Joyce Witt, Joe Westbrook, and 3 Grandsons; Baby Boy Breitkreutz, Rusty Lackey, and Dustin Lackey. Adored Sister-in-law, Alene Guillot (widow of Joe Westbrook), is the last surviving member of the Westbrook family in this generation. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Kenneth Hewitt, her children; Tamela Gentry (Eddie), Vikki Clingaman (Jim), Kimberley Breitkreutz (Mark), Johnny Plunk (Brenda), Bonus sons; Keith Hewitt (Melanie), & Nolan Hewitt (Tara). Her Grandchildren; Rhayne Cassatt (David), LaRhett Tribble (Trey), Jeremy Lamb (Crystal), Jennifer Lamb (Adam Haynes), Buckey Breitkreutz (Dee Reeves), Bristan Clingaman (Laura), Haylea, Brendan, Brittany, Beniah, & Caleb. Her Great-Grandchildren; Maddison, Ashtyn, Ambryn, Artist, Austyn, Hailee, Dylan, Gavin, & Braedyn. Family will greet visitors from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Life Four Square Church, 501 Karankawa Street, Angleton, Texas. Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 am. with Ronnie Pena' officiating. Service Details.
