Teresa Meier

On April 24, 2021 Teresa Meier began her life in Heaven. Here on Earth, she was born on March 21, 1956. She grew up in Danbury, Texas with her parents, Coy and Viva Mitchell and her sister Cindy. The Mitchell family attended Calvary Baptist Church in Angleton. This is where she met the love of her life, Walter "Bud" Meier. At the ripe old age of 17 she married him July 21, 1973. For many years as a preacher's wife in Arkansas and for the most part in West Columbia, Texas, they built a life they loved. In West Columbia they raised their family. Although it was not always easy, they had a life full of love, laughter, and fun. Teresa was a talented pianist, decorator, and best all around shopper in the world. She enjoyed days of walking the air conditioned halls of the mall, the fresh scents of Bath and Body Works, and always an ice cold Diet Coke at any seafood or mexican restaurant. Teresa was preceded in death by her parents Coy and Viva Mitchell, her in laws, Bill and Ernestine Meier and she was greeted in Heaven by her infant daughter, Melissa Kay Meier. Left here to miss her forever is her husband, Walter "Bud" Meier, daughter Wendi Peavy and husband Craig of Danbury and their children Katie Scarlett, fianc Braden Gyorko, Mallory Peavy, Bennett Peavy; also her daughter Amanda Jakubec and husband Scott of Damon and their children, Case, Emma, and Lucy Jakubec. She will also be remembered by her siblings, Cindy Konvincka, Nelma Lemaster, June Dodd-Williams, and Joe Lyons. She was loved by many brothers and sisters in law and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers include Brent Meier, Jeff Whitworth, Jeremiah Howell, William Singletary, William Meier, and Billy Johnston. Visitation will be at Palms Funeral home on Wednesday, April 28 at 4 pm for family and 5-7 for the public. The funeral service will be at Palms Funeral Home on Thursday at noon with a graveside immediately following at Angleton Cemetery.
