Terri Lynn Dannhaus

DANNHAUS Funeral Services for Terri Lynn Dannhaus, 57, of Victoria, Texas, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas. Rev. Jeff Bergeron of the Martin Luther Lutheran Church of Victoria, Texas along with Katrina Dannhaus Packard, LEM, will officiate. With burial to follow at Gulf Prairie Cemetery in Jones Creek, Texas. Visitation will be Friday, December 13, 2013 at Palms Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Ms. Dannhaus died unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, after being diagnosed with Milroy's Disease in the 1960's. Ms. Dannhaus grew up in Brazoria County having attended Clute Elementary School, Clute Junior High and Brazoswood High School, Class of 1974. Terri graduated from the program of Association of Builders and Contractors (ABC) in Freeport, Texas in 1980. She was a licensed electrician, air conditioning technician, certified welder and former employee of Gulf States. She was also a proud Texas A & M University Alumn with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. Upon graduation from Texas A & M University, she moved to Victoria, Texas and taught in the Victoria Independent School District for twenty-five years retiring from Patti Welder Middle School. While teaching in Victoria, she worked mostly with special education and challenged students. Ms. Dannhaus was President of the Victoria Teachers Union, a Member of the Martin Luther Lutheran Church and a "dyed in the wool Texas Aggie." While attending Texas A & M, she never missed a football game. Upon graduation, she never missed a football game, via television or radio. Terri is preceded in death by her partner, Michelle Y. Johnson. She is survived by her sons Chris and Ryan Johnson, mother, Wilma Dannhaus, sisters Katrina D. Packard, Theresa and Pam Dannhaus. Nephews Steven D. Packard Jr. (wife) Deanna and son Jaxson, Matthew J. Partlow, niece Jean-Anne (husband) Jarrid Danford and sons Easton and Ellis. Aunt's and Uncle's Lee Fred and Laura Dannhaus, Daniel and Florence Dannhaus, Homer Adams, Mary Jane and Arthur Lee Langston along with their families and Terri's beloved dog "Aggie." As well as a host of friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her father Harvey D. Dannhaus, paternal grandparents Herbert and Melanie Dannhaus, maternal grandparents Homer and Francis Adams, aunt Nancy Adams and cousin Freddie Mae Dannhaus. Ms. Dannhaus loved life. While she had many physical obstacles, you could spot her by her infectious laugh, her vibrant smile and her large, loving heart, she was simply ‘the best of the best'. She will be missed by all those who had the opportunity to be a part of her wide circle of family and friends. ‘Give rest, O Christ to thy servant, Terri Lynn, with thy saints, where sorrow and pain are no more, neither sighing, but life everlasting'.
