Thomas Jefferson Norris Thomas Jefferson (T.J.) Norris passed away peacefully on April 16, 2016, at his home in Angleton, Texas. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 19 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 20th at First Baptist Church of Angleton with the brother Rodney Bowman officiating. Graveside and lunch will follow the service. T.J. was born and raised in Bradley County Arkansas to Thomas and Johnnie Norris on May 9, 1929. He married Loretta Belin on July 15, 1950, in Hermitage, Arkansas. In 1951, T.J. and family moved to Angleton, Texas. He enjoyed a successful career in the construction industry, building many homes and office buildings across Brazoria County. He was actively involved in his church, First Baptist Church of Angleton. After his retirement, he enjoyed spending time fishing with his family and friends. T.J. is preceded in death by his mother and father, sisters Eileen Castleberry, Marie Smith, Vonnie Hargis, and brother Bobby Norris. T.J. is survived by his wife, Loretta; his three children Tommy Norris, Johnny Ray Norris and his wife Bridgett, and Tira Norris; his eight grandchildren Nick Norris, Chris Norris and wife Bianca, JRay Norris and wife Stephanie, Trini Jacoby and husband Zach, Sydney Powell-Markle and husband Chris, James Powell and wife Lacey; and his eight great-grandchildren Mason Norris, Elliott Norris, Ryan Jacoby, Hunter Jacoby, Brennus Markle, Thane Markle, Payten Powell and Preslea Powell; sister-in-law Vinnie Adams and husband Jr., brother-in-law Lamar Belin and wife Yvonne. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Adams, Zach Jacoby, Chris Norris, Jray Norris, Nick Norris and James Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be all the members of his Senior Sunday school class at First Baptist Church of Angleton. Please make donations to the First Baptist Church of Angleton in lieu of flowers. The family of T.J. wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Palms Funeral Home and First Baptist Church of Angleton for all their help during this time.
