Tori Renae Smith April 18, 1979 ~ July 31, 2016 Many who knew Tori Smith would all say the same thing about her: She marched to the beat of her own drum. She made her own rules and followed them…most of the time. Tori was never afraid of hard work and because of her drive, she persevered through so many hardships that came her way. Through her most trying times, you would often times hear her chanting…"Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, what do we do, we swim." On July 31, 2016, Tori Renae Smith, left her worldly home to enter into eternal peace. She was only 37. She has been reunited and embraced by those loved ones who have gone ahead before her. She leaves her special memories to be cherished by her; father and mother, Richard and Lee Ann Smith, her little sis', Brandi Booth, her niece, Cheyenne Darrell, and the countless others who will forever cherish her in their hearts. Tori loved the Lord and trusted Him as her Savior. She would always say, "Jesus is my best friend." Her favorite place to attend church was The Church Under the Bridge in Austin, Texas. She said, "those are my peeps." Tori was such a social butterfly, she never met a stranger! What would be considered a simple trip to a grocery store would turn into hours of fun for her. She would love to stop and chat with people she didn't know anything about, just to hear their stories. She accepted people with her whole heart, no matter where they came from or their circumstances. Tori had such a heart and compassion for people. She didn't have many material possessions in this world, but for someone with so little, she wouldn't hesitate handing someone her last dollar, even if it meant missing a meal for herself. She always put others needs ahead of her own and without hesitation or regret. Tori had a laugh that would infect you to the core. She loved to play and have fun no matter what the circumstances were. She loved being the culprit to a good practical joke and when executed as she planned - you couldn't help but laugh simply because she would get such a kick out of it. She was a free-spirit to the end. She was loved by many…understood by few. She will be missed deeply and forever cherished in our hearts. Just keep swimming, Tori. The family is holding a private ceremony at the Bar X Lake House for friends and loved ones, this Sunday at 5:00p.m. Prayers are appreciated. If you would like
