Travis Ryan Smith, 38 of Angleton, Texas passed from his earthly life into the hands of his Heavenly Father Sunday August 22,2021. Travis was born September 16, 1982 to Ray and Gayla Smith at Community Hospital in Freeport, Texas. Shortly after birth, it was determined that he would need to be transported to Texas Children's Hospital in Houston. This would become a second home as he would need several hospitalizations over the next 7 years. Travis was born with Hydrocephalus and a shunt was placed at 18 months to aid with living with it. He also had Epilepsy. He was absolutely determined to not let any of those slow him down. He lived most of his life in or around Angleton. He attended Southside Elementary, Middle School West and, was a member of the AHS class of 2002. He enjoyed several sports in and out of school and, found a passion for Choir at the High School level. He achieved Region choir twice during his high school years making several new friends forged many life-long friends with both fellow students and faculty through the years. Travis worked in and around Brazoria County as a contractor for several chemical plants. He made friends easily and, with every stop or plant along the way, this was no exception. Friends know and would tell often that he would talk to a tree if it would stand still long enough, a trait he came by naturally. Many stories can be told about a 5 min grocery store run taking an hour because he ran into someone he knew. In 2006 Travis met, fell in love with and, in March of 2007 married his wife, Felicia. Through job changes and moves she welcomed his social butterfly personality and adventurous nature, keeping him a little more grounded. In April 2012 daughter Sydney RayAnn became the sparkle in his eye. Outside of working hours, Travis and Sydney were rarely apart. Even if just for a ride around town or a trip to Bucee's she was by his side. As such Travis' personality will live on through her.
