Valetta Joyce (Tuck) Willingham, 85, of Lake Jackson passed away on May 23, 2024. A long time resident of Lake Jackson. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Val was born on October 24, 1938, in Wilson, Oklahoma to Vallon and Edith (Cain) Tuck. Val married Wyndle Willingham on July 20, 1957. She is survived by husband Wyndle, children - Terri Bumgarder & husband Chris , Dana Forse & husband Tim, Chris Willingham & wife Deborah ; seven grandchildren - Jonathon Schomber & wife Gina, Juston Schomber & fiance Hannah Dunlap, Shawnna McDanial & husband Tim, Ryan Forse, Samantha Forse & fiance Trevor Beraw, CJ Willingham, and Brandi Parrott; four great grandchildren - Madelyn ,Brandon, Raegan, Kayce; and sister Vanetta.
Those that preceded her in death include father Vallon Tuck; mother Edith Vernon, stepfather Lonie Vernon; stepmother Mable Tuck; brothers Odel Mitchell & Vallon Tuck Jr.
Val worked a variety of careers including data entry, retail, and as a secretary and sales person for Digital Equipment. After retiring she volunteered for the Gathering and the Sea Center in Lake Jackson. She enjoyed reading, crafts and bingo. Val loved being with family and traveling all over the United States. She always gave freely of her love and time. Val was a follower of Jesus Christ and a member of Willow Drive Baptist Church in Lake Jackson.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service Starting at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Sardis Cemetery in Jewett for family.
