Vero

September 17, 1976 — March 5, 2024

Verónica Reyna Loera, 47, of Angleton, passed away on March 5, 2024, in Houston. Veró was born on September 17, 1976, in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, being the eighth daughter of José Ángel Reyna García and María del Refugio Loera. Arriving in Angleton at the age of 20, she lived most of her life with her aunt and uncle, Ramon and Nilia Loera, who loved her and cared for her like a daughter.

Vero was an exemplary woman, honest, positive, hard-working, loving, and generous. She was also an excellent cook, her distinguished dishes were lemonade, choco-flan, and penne pasta with sausage. A lover of Mexican culture, born the day after the cry, Vero loved her flag “the tri color”, Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, and typical Mexican cuisine. She liked to attend concerts, Astros and Dynamo games. She loved following actors and artists with her partner Emigdio Arredondo. She loved music, everything cheetah, celebrations, photos, and decorating. Most of all, she loved her family very much, especially her nieces and nephews, Raquel, José Ramon, Oscar, Javier Jr., Lupita, Gaby, Evelyn, Nallely, Jhoana, Enrique Jr., Jennifer, Stephany, Adolfo, Adrián, Alondra, and Ángel Jr. Vero did not have children, but she took care of Sarah and Raymond as if they were hers.

In 2017 she was affected by breast cancer, which damaged her health, she survived and fought for her recovery, finally the Cancer won the battle but not without a good fight. Vero leaves a deep void in the lives of her loved ones, but her pure spirit will remain in our hearts. She will arrive in our heaven where her mother, “Cuca”, and brother, José Adolfo, will receive her.

Those who remain on earth to honor her memory are her father, Jose Angel Reyna Garcia; sister, Rossy; brothers: Reynaldo, Jose Angel, Javier, Enrique, and Adolfo Reyna, and their spouses, Ramon, Irma, Rosaura, Eusebia, Leo, and Adriana.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home with Pastor Juan Tovar officiating.
