Virginia 'Jin' Crocker

September 8, 1921 — January 12, 2012

Virginia (Jin) Crocker, 90, of Angleton, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 in Denton, Texas. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 10:00 am at the Palms Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 pm at Palms. Jin was born September 8, 1921 in Mooreville, Mississippi to William & Mary Whiteside Cayson. A resident of Angleton since 1955, she was a member of First United Methodist Church of Angleton where she taught Sunday School. She also served as a Girl Scout Leader and was a member of the Angleton-Danbury Hospital Auxiliary. As a member of Eastern Star, she was a Past Worthy Matron and was a Past President of Beauceant. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William (Bill) Crocker and son, David Crocker. Survivors include her daughter, Betty Crocker of Denton and son Dennis Crocker of Salt Lake City, Utah. Grandchildren are Mathew Crocker and Megan Crocker of Austin, Eileen Francisco of Tacoma Washington, and Keith Nielsen of Washington D.C. Great-grandchildren are Noah and Kate Jensen of Tacoma Washington. The family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society rather than flowers for Jin.
