Virginia R. Henson of Angleton, Tx. passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022. She was born January 31, 1946, in San Benito, TX to Odilia (Tijerina) and Emilio B. Rodriguez. Virginia grew up in house full of love with her brothers and sisters, enjoying Charro day parades, and cheerleading. Then, the Family moved to Bellaire Tx. Upon graduating high-school, Virginia attended beauty school. Years later, she moved to Seattle WA. and began her career singing professionally for the Seattle Opera House. Virginia loved to entertain, and she adored her family. She was most proud of our dad, who served in Pearl Harbor during WWII. She moved back to TX and met her soul mate David F. Henson Sr. They married in 1984 and lived in Angleton Tx for 30 years. Virginia served as the National President of the Sons and Daughters of Pearl Harbor Survivors for 15 years. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, Emilio and Odilia Rodriguez, her nephew baby Logan Rodriguez, her niece Krysta Rodriguez, and her husband Dave Henson. Virginia is survived by her 6 siblings, Odilia Lee, Maria Ryberg, Margret Thorkelsen, Emilio Rodriguez II, Mark Rodriguez and Rose Maynard, along with a host of treasured family, extended family and friends who loved her very much.
