Virginia Ruth Munsinger

September 21, 1937 — March 30, 2022

Virginia Ruth Seeton Munsinger was a devoted wife, wonderful mother, loving grandmother and great grandmother. Born on September 21, 1937 to Leonard and Myrtle Seeton; she grew up in the rural community of Pierces Chapel close to Jacksonville, Texas. She had two sisters, Billie and Judy and two brothers, Bobby and Jerry. In 1955, she met her future husband, Paul Munsinger. In November 1958, they were married and had two daughters, Donna and Paula. And later two sons-in-law Mike Tribble and Joseph Smith. Virginia worked at Jacksonville Savings and Loan and as a secretary for a local law firm. After several years of marriage, Virginia and Paul moved to Liverpool, Texas and then Alvin, Texas. While living there, Virginia worked as a secretary at Monsanto Chemical Plant for almost 25 years. When she and her husband, Paul retired they moved back to Pierces Chapel where they owned a beautiful log home and enjoyed their time there as well as trips to Branson, Missouri and Estes Park, Colorado. In 2013, they moved to Angleton, Texas where they could be closer to their grandchildren and later great grandchildren. They have five grandchildren, Sean and wife Carmela, Ryan, Chelsea, Aaron and Lyndi and husband Justin. And eight great grandchildren, Eli, Riley, Daryl, Clyde, Grady, Anthony, Maisie and Atreya. She was known affectionately to her grandchildren and great grandchildren as Nanny. Virginia was a Christian woman and played the piano at Chocolate Bayou Baptist Church for many years. She was also a member at First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Texas and at First Baptist Church in Angleton, Texas. On March 30, 2022, Virginia passed away peacefully at home with her husband, Paul, by her side. She is now in heaven with family and friends who are already there and we will see her again. She was a loving and caring woman and will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at 10:00 am at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas followed by a service at 11:00 am. A graveside service will be held on April 6, 2022, at Pierces Chapel Cemetery in Jacksonville, Texas. Service Details.
