Virginia Goff, 91, of Angleton, passed away Monday, April 27, 2015 in Angleton. Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015 at First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 at Palms Funeral Home. Virginia was born January 30, 1924 in Angleton, Texas to Luther & Louise (Gage) Patterson. She graduated from Angleton High School and was a member of First United Methodist Church, she truly loved the Lord. An avid duplicate bridge player, she loved bridge so much that she only lacked a few points to become a Life Master, but it can easily be said that she mastered life as well as bridge. She was a skilled seamstress, proficient in knitting & crocheting, and enjoyed playing games. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Judge Edward Roland Goff, brothers; Luther Ray Patterson, Charles Bennett Patterson, Billy Patterson, and Douglas Earl Patterson. Sisters, Ruby Faulk, Emily Moller, & Dorothy Dean Smith, and granddaughter, Mindy Morrow Christensen. Survivors include daughters; Guinn Morrow of Angleton, and Michal Cook of Nacogdoches. Sons; Edward Roland Goff, Jr. of Seabrook, and Walter Luther Goff of Angleton. Grandchildren; Darwin Allen Morrow, Elizabeth Cook Spradley, Amy Lynn Goff, Melissa Kay Goff, Jeffrey Dodd Goff, Jennifer Lynn Smith & Jannah Marie Goff, as well as 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
