Walter Lee "Bubba" Rouse Jr.

On December 26, 2018 at 2:18am, Father, in His grace and wisdom called His child Walter Lee (Bubba) Rouse Jr. home to his heavenly reward. Born on April 6, 1956 in Houston, Texas to Walter Lee Rouse Sr. and Georgia Lea Crosby Rouse; Bubba served our Father as the senior pastor of the Liverpool Friends Church for over 20 years with his wife Shelley Fox Rouse. He also served as the Music Minister of the Liverpool Body of Christ Church. As a bi-vocational pastor, he also worked as a Project manager for heavy haul transportation industry. For over 7 years, Bubba lived as a walking testimony and became of beacon hope as a Stage 4 cancer patient; never wavering in his faith, always praising Father, committed to keeping his focus on God's plan and holding steadfast to his belief that any hurdle set before him was one that "6 million others wish that was the worst issue they had to handle that day." Knowing that Father had fully and completely healed him, Bubba closed his eyes on this earthly world to open them and look upon the face of his Father as He welcomed him home. "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you. But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy" 1Peter 4:12-13 Bubba is preceded in death by his parents, his mama; Sarah Ann Rouse Vasquez, his three grandchildren; Savannah Kathryn Rouse, Ian Dixon Rouse and Landyn Annell Rouse. He is survived by the love of his life, best friend and wife of over 40 years; Shelley Kathryn Fox Rouse, his daughters; Darla Denise Rouse, Heidi-Aaron Rouse Bryant and her husband J.B. and their children; Aaron Thayne Rouse and Logan Daniel Rouse, and his son Adam Rouse and his wife Melissa as well as her children. He is also survived by his step-daddy; Augustine Pablo Vasquez; his sisters Debra Brashear, Brenda Keith and her husband Rod; LeiLani Reyna and her husband John; Terry Moon and her husband Ronnie; his brothers Rick Rouse and his wife Donnah, Dennis Lyons and his wife Terri, Jay Lyons and Steve Lyons. He is also survived by his Liverpool Friends church family along with a large host of nieces, nephews, family and loved ones. Services for Bubba will be at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton with visitation for family on Saturday December 29th from 5-6pm and for all from 6-8pm as well as the funeral services on Sunday, December 30th at 2:00pm to be followed by the graveside service at Angleton Cemetery.
