Weldon Lee Kretzschmar Weldon was born Aug. 8, 1929 in Bellville to Charlie and Hilda Strauss Kretzschmar and went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 25, 2015 in Sandy Point. Weldon, a resident of Sandy Point for 35 years, was a U.S. Navy Veteran, a member of Sandy Point Bible Church and had retired from Halliburton after 28 years of service. Funeral services for Weldon Lee Kretzschmar, 85, of Sandy Point will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Palms Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother. Weldon is survived by his wife, Eva Kretzschmar, sons, Weldon L. Nanson (Mercedes), Wendell Nanson (Leslie), grandchildren, Weldon D. Nanson (Casey), James Nanson, Casey Nanson, Shane Nanson, great grandchildren, Catelyn Nanson, Gage Nanson, Kendall Nanson, nieces, Diane Patterson (Charlie), Sue Patton (Todd) and all his Sandy Point Bible Church family. Pallbearers will be Curt Mowery, Rodney Mowery, Weldon D. Nanson, Daniel Mowery, Taylor Mowery, and Darren Mowery. Honorary pallbearers will be Curtis Joe Mowery and Tony Flores.
