Wilburn "Buddy" Meredith June 7, 1934 ~ January 16, 2017 Wilburn "Buddy" Meredith, 82, of Angleton, Texas passed away on January 16, 2017. He was born in Austin, Texas to Harvey and Minnie Meredith. He was a rancher, a member of the Brazoria County Fair Association, and retired from Brazoria County. Buddy was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Meredith, parents Harvey and Minnie Meredith, brother Albert (Beto) Meredith, and sisters; Annie Calhoun, Willie Mae Meredith, Lanora Meredith, and Loys Meredith. Left to cherish his memory are his sons; Danny Meredith (Eva), Dwayne Meredith (Rena), and Claud Meredith (Christie), daughter Sharon Ballard (Ken), grandchildren; Deanna Lynn Harris, Dolan Wayne Harris III, Branden Paul Ballard, Trey Meredith (Sarah), Leigh Ann Hernandez, Lance Meredith (Andrea), Blaine Meredith (Megan), Lynn Meredith, and Craig Meredith (Courtney), great grandchildren; Desmond Heys Nash, Eleanor Grace Nash, Whitley Mae Nash, Aleric Hernandez, Berkleigh May Meredith, and Michaela Meredith, step grandchildren; Nichole Ballard, Kendra Ballard, Hailey Halfmann (Ernie), Holden Just (Stephanie), Hannah Rudkin (Cody), step great grandchildren; Chasity Halfmann, Maliyah David, Hannah Rudkin, Faith Rudkin, Adalynn Rudkin, Elijah Just, and Jonah Meredith, brothers; Hardy Meredith (Pauline), Gilbert Meredith (Nancy), and Leon Meredith (Jill), sisters; Litty Leathco, Adeline Pittman (Bennie), Katherine Bessent, Oneta Staples, Juanita Maness (Russell), and Lucille Cummins. A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home. An additional visitation will be on Thursday, January 18, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home. Grandsons will serve as active pallbearers and all great grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and step-great grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
