William "Bill" Hewitt

William Grant Hewitt was born on August 11, 1948, in Angleton, Texas, to parents, Grant and Norma Hewitt. He passed away, at age 73, after a brief illness, on September 8, 2021. Being a devout Christian, his church family grieves in his absence, yet rejoices knowing he is now at peace in Heaven. Bill was well known in Angleton for riding his bicycle and listening to his transistor radio. The family is overwhelmed with the outpouring of love from the community. We thank you for your prayers and concern. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Vernon and Thema Homesley, Pinck and Gertrude Hewitt, and parents, Grant and Norma Hewitt. Bill will be affectionately remembered by his brothers, Kenneth Hewitt and Howard Hewitt (Marilou); nephews, Keith Hewitt (Melanie) and Nolan Hewitt (Tara); and nieces, Cherie Felts (Martin) and Nicole Hewitt. Pallbearers will be Ralph Schumann, James Peterson, Jimmy McDaniel, Brandon Palmer, Martin Felts, and Chris Harrison. Honorary pallbearers will be Cliff Tubb, Millard Breckel, Johnny McDaniel, Lance Rydell, and Brandt Rydell. Visitation will be held at Palms Funeral Home, in Angleton, on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at The First Baptist Church of Angleton. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.palmsfuneralhome.com. Service Details.
