William R. "Bill" Rowan

William R Rowan born on January 16, 1935 in San Angelo TX. He was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 6, 2021. He was known to his friends and family as Bill. He was a beloved husband and father, grandfather, and uncle. Bill retired from Phillips 66 Old Ocean, TX in 1998. He enjoyed traveling with the love of his life Sandra. Together they ran the highways and byways all over the U.S. in their truck and travel trailer. He loved camping, fishing, and hunting. His passion was sharing stories and photos of their travels with his friends and family. His favorite trip was to Alaska in 2005. He was proceeded in death by his father Virgil Rowan, mother Ina Bulger Rowan, and his brother Edward R Rowan. He is survived by his wife Sandra Morrell Rowan, his son and daughter-in-law Robert and Julie Rowan, his son Tom Rowan, three grandchildren Trey Rowan, Brittany Rowan, Cailin Rowan, and one great grandchild Aria Rowan. Bill's sons and grandson will serve as Pallbearers. Visitation will be at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton TX on Friday March 12 from 4-7 pm. Funeral will be held Saturday March 13 at 2nd Baptist Church in Angleton TX at 2 pm then taken to his final resting place at Sweeny Cemetery in Sweeny TX where there will be a small graveside service.
